What is to love more than Guru's Café in Provo? Guru's Café eaten out of the back of a Toyota 4Runner on top of a mountain. At sunset. That's what. My husband, best friend and my two doggos and I made the trek up the mountain to enjoy our dinner the other night. I love photographing food, and I love photographing food as lifestyle even more. This was an amazing way to enjoy our dinner!

This is probably my favorite senior portrait session I've had as a photographer. When I was young and stupid, I was really homesick and moved back to California. My aunt & uncle let me move in with them and get back on my feet. I bunked up with Eberly and we made each other laugh pretty much every night. I'm thrilled that she is moving up to Salt Lake in the fall to attend the University of Utah. I get to look after her and make sure she doesn't go through the same homesick motions I did. Go Utes!

What do you get when you meet up in a parking garage by City Creek in downtown Salt Lake, well before the sun even rises, to have your models' makeup done and set up your shoot? Amazing pictures, it turns out, when you have such incredible talent working with you. Alex Rodriguez-Mendoza is magic when it comes to the art of makeup, and Mallory Stack & Alyson Lund are extremely photogenic models. We had fun with this downtown street fashion shoot at the crack of dawn!

Black IS Beautiful Valentine's Shoot | BYU, Provo Studio Photographer
On Valentine's Day this year, I was invited to participate in a photoshoot orchestrated by BYU's Black Student Union. The theme was "Black IS Beautiful." We all met at the photo studio on campus for a night celebrating the diversity that these wonderful individuals contribute to BYU. It was a great experience with lots of laughs all night.
